| | 2001 YEAR REPORT We would like to share with you what God has done in our ministry this year.
The greatest thing is that we know we are not alone; God is on our side and you precious family are with us. We know God has planted us in Boksburg to fulfil His purpose in our lives, He has supplied the needs of the ministry by revealing it to you by His Spirit and because of your obedience and faithful support the work has been so blessed that we could double our efforts this year.
We cannot express how much your prayer and support towards the Great Commission has meant to us and we are so grateful to have you as fellow workers. On our own we could never have accomplish what we did. Going out week after week we see the lost saved, the poor fed and the weak strengthened by the Word because of you.
We have seen people of all ethnic groups in South Africa respond to the same message of the living Jesus Christ. Giving them new life, hope, peace, joy and set them free of the bondages of evil. The only way to change our community, our city, is to change the heart of the people living there with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You have made it possible for us to go - Thank You!
This years report in short: We held a week long crusade in Mbazwana Village in Kwa-Zulu Natal in April with Evangelist JP Scharnik where we learned a lot! We also joined him in an outreach to the homeless and destitute of JHB where hundreds received a meal fit for a king, 700 blankets were handed out, the Gospel of Christ Jesus were preached and many received Him as Lord.
We continued with our work in Boksburg North where we fed 150 plus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Destitute men, woman and children with so many personal needs and a great hunger for the hope we offer in Jesus Christ. Many rely on the feeding scheme as it is sometimes their only meal in days.
In the desperate cold weeks of July we handed out an additional 200 blankets to the homeless. The Gospel is preached to the poor every time the Soup Kitchen goes out and we have baptized about 30 people this year. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness towards us. We have handed out about 200 plus bibles, Spirit-filled literature from New Life Mission in Korea , thousands of tracts and we also give out information about Aids. Clothing, shoes and food parcels are handed out on a regular basis.
There are so many testimonies we can give about people receiving healing, deliverance, jobs, shelter - maybe I can tell you about Nancy : She was an alcoholic living in a big storm- drain pipe under a bridge during the very cold months of winter. We prayed for her, she was restored back to God whom gave her living- in employment. When Nancy was baptized she was also filled with the Holy Spirit and all craving for alcohol was gone. This wonderful child of God is now serving Him with gladness. Praise God for loving each one of us and for His wonderful answer to our prayers.
