| Dearly Beloved, It is such a joy for us to write to you as we appreciate you and your commitment to the work God has called us to do. We love to share with you the wonderful things God is doing. Every day is a special day in Jesus and we believe this year is going to be a blessed year and we pray that God blesses you and your loved ones indeed! We could never do what we do apart from you. As John 4:36 aptly puts it: "And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together". For those that have not yet heard the news, it was decided in July 2002 that a new umbrella ministry i.e. Ithemba Elisha Ministries [New Hope Ministries] would be formed to incorporate the various local works. In doing so we felt that we would be better able to serve the needs of the various ministries as well as join in partnership with other organisations. In doing this we have now formed partnerships with the following ministries…
VISION & MISSION James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and stainless, in the sight of our God and Father, is to help and visit orphans and widows in their time of trouble.." This is our heart and our vision to reach out to the fatherless with the love of the Father. We are willing to go where God leads and directs, even to reach just one with His tangible love.
MOZAMBIQUE OUTREACHES James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and stainless, in the sight of our God and Father, is to help and visit orphans and widows in their time of need". Ithemba Elisha Ministries has been reaching out to the orphans and widows in Mozambique since 2000. The Lord has given us a heart for the poor in Mozambique where on out of every four children dies before the age of five and where +- 400 000 children have been orphaned by AIDS. We can't help them all but we can and will do our best to reach some with the tangible love of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that we are to continue with taking teams into Mozambique, not only to expose and train them in areas of mission work, but also to help bless the already established missionaries there. DAVEYTON FELLOWSHIP – ‘JESUS IS THE ANSWER MINISTRIES’ Pastor Frans Mamogale (Bible School Graduate) from our church in Daveyton will do outreaches into Tshakane and in Daveyton. They are in urgent need of a tent, sound equipment and chairs as their existing church building is way too small for their growing needs and the tent is needed for outreaches in other areas as well. Ps Frans has also been involved in planting small fellowships in Bochum (Northern Province) and in Burgersfort (Mapumalanga). Ps Frans was given a car last year – Praise God! – He can now reach these areas but do need our help to keep his car in good working condition and repair. STREET CHURCH – SOUP KITCHENS In our three years of street ministry many people have come to the Lord. Many have managed to find work after hearing that God is for them and not against them. Criminals has come forward and dedicated their lives to the Lord. People have been delivered and set free from alcohol. Others has been reunited with their families, many are healed by the Healer. As many as 50 people were baptized last year. Our Fellowships in Daveyton and at our home has been a direct result of our street ministry. The Street Ministry have laid the foundation for the rest of the ministry to grow and we believe that it is time to concentrate on the bigger picture. We will not go out in the week anymore but work on establishing the fellowships that has grown out of the street ministry – each doing its own outreaches on a regular basis – taking the soup kitchens if there is need for it.
ITHEMBA ELISHA CHURCH Out of the Street Church has developed in a lovely, lively Church that has been meeting for nearly a year to worship God. Pastor Frank Malula (Bible School Graduate) and his congregation are meeting in a little meeting place in Boksburg North but are urgently in need to enlarge the facilities to continue with the ever increasing membership. Please pray with us for funds to enlarge this building. Our coloured family is growing rapidly with two brothers Isaac and Johannes taking up the call as deacons to the coloured community and we are very excited to see them coming to the Lord. We are reaping a beautiful harvest of souls from seeds we planted when we just started with the ‘Tree Church’ like Isaac our dear brother in the Lord. We would like to tell you about Rose: This tiny lady’s husband is in jail, her first child has been taken by the Welfare and is in a orphanage in JHB she is pregnant again, has only a piece job, looks after two young orphans, very poor living conditions; but every Sunday she is in church with a happy smile with more children in tow to attend Sunday School. Please help us with this great need in our coloured family. God commissioned us to care for the widow and the orphan; please help us (with food parcels, clothing, blankets etc.) to do this and please pray for Rose for decent accommodation and work. Thank you so much. MISSIONS ABROAD – NEW HOPE PRISON MINISTRIES – MOZAMBIQUE We will continue to help and assist Ps Sam and Rosa Garcia in whatever way God is willing to further their work in the prisons in Chimoio. You may also contact Sam directly at; SAMUEL GARCIA, P.O.BOX 2960, MUTARE, ZIMBABWE. MODEM MINISTRIES The last few months have been a very busy time for Llano. He has been called on to assist by a variety of ministries with their IT needs. It has been possible with an increase in work from the private sector - which enables him to help and support to the Body of Christ at rock bottom prices. Praise Almighty God! Thank you again for your faithfulness and support. Thank you for those who helped with our vehicles repairs and those who just showed up with an encouraging word – we so appreciated your love! Llano has been blessed with a Pajero 4x4 and we praise God for His provision. Jesus walked on water, crossing a stormy sea to give friends a hand, your extra mile of love and obedience to God will be rewarded with riches stored up in heaven and blessings here on earth. In Jesus Llano & Esme Vorster |
